The game is based in the 21st century in a post-apocalyptic setting after “The Magic War” broke out. Before this war, the world was as we know it today in the real life. 

Four years ago, prior to the game's setting, magic energy crystals were discovered very deep beneath the Earth's surface. Although their full potential has not been understood, many countries quickly realised what power these crystals may possess and tried obtaining more for themselves. Further analysis has proven that they, like other minerals, are more concentrated in some parts of the Earth rather than others. The biggest congregation of them has been located at the border between the two strongest and wealthiest countries in the world: Verdantis and Aerilon. 

The two countries began invading one another, which lead to the start of The Magic War. Many other nations chose their sides in the war, some siding for Verdantis and others for Aerilon, both promising a share of the magic energy crystal resource. While Verdantis prone using such resource to augment human abilities, Aerlion wanted to militarize such power to create powerful weapons to make any war less violent, especially for the non-combatant parties. The conflict continued for three years, ending with a full-on warfare that led to a complete world destruction. Like nuclear energy, magic energy can mutate various organisms, although humans are immune to this this mutation (also called “corruption”) is much more potent on animals. 

Some groups of people managed to survive The Magic War. However, their greed for magic energy crystals made most of them hostile towards other survivors. They eliminate every human they see in the hopes of increasing their magic energy crystal reserves. They only want the monopole of this resource to be the rulers in this rebuilding world. One such group has noticed the presence of the main character and has targeted their base.  

You must protect your base from being plundered by using magic towers that fight against the enemy. You must constantly upgrade your defenses, since the enemy gets harder to defeat with each wave that is approaching.
